After many years of personally investing in real estate, the Branstetters began offering their expertise to others and were licensed in 1989 by the State of Oregon to sell real estate. They are the co-owners of Silverton Realty; Mason is the Principal Broker and Marcia the leading real estate sales Broker and a multi-million dollar producer. Both are also graduates of the Oregon Real Estate Institute and were awarded the GRI designation.
The Branstetters returned to their hometown after more than 22 years with the United States Army. Mason retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and is a Viet Nam veteran. Marcia is a veteran of sixteen moves during their career and really has the experience and support for others facing relocation pressures.
They have four grown children.
-The oldest; Mason II and his wife, Wendi live in Milwaukie, Oregon are proud parents of Sarah Lilly, 9 yrs old and Molly Rose, 6 yrs old. Mason is the Principal of Wichita Elementary School and Wendi teaches first grade. Mason has just been designated the Principal of the new elementary school in Happy Valley - Verne Duncan Elementary School. The first year for school should be the Fall of 2009.
- Micha is married to Rick Christman, a millwright with Weyerhauser in Stayton and they live outside Turner, OR. They have three boys; Marshal 10 yrs old, Macoy 8 yrs and Dylan 6 yrs old. Micha is studying Property Management and is a part-time employee of Silverton Realty.
- Matthew recently completed Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Oregon Army National Guard. He has completed one tour in downtown Baghdad, Iraq a couple years ago and now is on alert for his second tour. He is a student at Portland State University in computer engineering between overseas tours. Matthew is married to Jenny, a full-time RN, and they have one son Matty and are expecting their second child this summer.
- Meredith also is a real estate Broker at Silverton Realty, and a part-time RN at Silverton Hospital. She is married to Ryan Wertz and they have one daughter Marley Ginger 4 months and a son Trysten, 6 yrs old. Ryan is a Field Representative for Scott Seed which utilizes his Ag Degree from Oregon State University - Go Beavs.
Marcia and Mason live on 45 acres above the Abiqua River basin. Mason is managing a small "hobby" vineyard in his spare time, restored a 1930 Model "A", repainting a 1959 Bugeye sprite and riding a Harley Fat Boy. Marcia tends to her horse, dog, garden, and most importantly her grandchildren. Actually the Harley is Marcia's and Mason is just her chauffeur.
They are also active members of the Silverton community. Mason and Marcia are both past Presidents of the North Willamette Association of Realtors. Mason is past President of the local Economic Improvement District, Historic Silverton Incorporated, and founding Secretary of the Silverton High School Alumni Association. He is also a past member of the Oregon Gardens Foundation Board of Directors. Marcia has served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and the Budget Committee of the Silver Falls Library District. They are Deacons of the First Christian Church.
